Education is a cornerstone of community life in Stayner. The town is served by two school boards, offering both public and Catholic education options from elementary through secondary levels, with additional resources for early childhood education and special programs.

Elementary Schools

Stayner Collegiate (Simcoe County District School Board)

Part of the Simcoe County District School Board, this school serves Stayner and area families with a comprehensive curriculum, extracurricular activities, and a supportive learning environment. Catholic Education

The Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board provides Catholic elementary education for families in the Stayner area. Catholic schools offer faith-based education integrated with the Ontario curriculum, along with sacramental preparation and religious education programs.

Secondary Education

Secondary school students from Stayner typically attend schools in nearby Collingwood or other centres in the region. Collingwood Collegiate Institute (CCI) is the most common destination for Stayner teens, offering a full range of academic programs, including Advanced Placement courses, co-operative education, specialist high skills majors, and a variety of extracurricular activities including sports, arts, and clubs.

Catholic secondary education is also available through schools in the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board. School bus transportation is provided by the Simcoe County Student Transportation Consortium for eligible students.
