Blue Mountain Resort
Distance from Stayner: approximately 20 minutes
Blue Mountain is Ontario's most popular four-season resort destination, and it is practically in Stayner's backyard. In winter, the resort offers over 40 ski and snowboard trails, terrain parks, and night skiing on the Niagara Escarpment. The Blue Mountain Village at the base provides a European-inspired pedestrian village with restaurants, shops, and entertainment.
But Blue Mountain is far more than a ski resort. Summer and fall bring mountain biking, the Monterra Golf course, a scenic gondola ride, Ridge Runner mountain coaster, Timber Challenge high ropes course, Plunge aquatic park, and extensive hiking trails. Wasaga Beach
Distance from Stayner: approximately 25 minutes
Wasaga Beach holds the distinction of being the longest freshwater beach in the world, stretching 14 kilometres along the shores of Georgian Bay. In summer, the beach is the region's premier destination for swimming, sunbathing, beach volleyball, and family fun. The warm, shallow waters of Nottawasaga Bay make it particularly safe and enjoyable for children.

Collingwood
Distance from Stayner: approximately 15 minutes
Collingwood is Stayner's nearest larger neighbour and a vibrant town with a thriving downtown, excellent restaurants, craft breweries, boutique shops, and a growing arts and culture scene. The historic Collingwood Terminals building on the waterfront is a landmark that speaks to the town's shipbuilding heritage.

Creemore

The picturesque village of Creemore, also part of the Municipality of Clearview, is a gem worth visiting. Famous for Creemore Springs Brewery, which has been crafting premium lager since 1987, the village offers a charming main street with galleries, antique shops, cafes, and a small-town atmosphere that feels like stepping back in time. The brewery offers tours and tastings, and the Creemore community hosts popular festivals and events throughout the year.
Scenic Caves Nature Adventures

Located near Collingwood on the Niagara Escarpment, Scenic Caves Nature Adventures offers a unique outdoor experience. In summer, explore ancient caves, walk the suspension bridge high above the forest floor, pan for gemstones, and enjoy spectacular views of Georgian Bay from the escarpment. In winter, the site transforms into a cross-country ski and snowshoe destination with groomed trails through beautiful terrain.
